Che schifo... Che schifo, Che schifo, Che schifo, Che schifo, Che schifo, Che schifo, Che schifo. Che schifo, l'Italia, Che schifo.
Pregate, sperate, incrociate le dita, fate come meglio credete. Che magari domani è la volta buona.

Travelling Journal!
Okay! This is the last post of the day, just to let you know about the idea I had while I was taking a shower
10 minutes ago.
I'd be glad to prepare a copybook we will then make travel among the participants. You will be able to write anything you want, or draw, stick pictures on it, share you thoughts, feelings, poems, why not!!! :) At the end of its trip, the copybook will return back to me.
I just ask you not to keep the journal for a long time. Maybe if you understand that you have no time for it when you receive it, let it move on to the next participant. You'll be queued again when you have more free time for it. Then, please, make it travel safely (= proper package and stamps). In return I promise I'll post lots and lots of photos of it when I get it back :)
If you post a comment when you receive or send the copybook, we'll have fun tracking it during its journey :)
I had a similar experience with a group of Italian members of Bookcrossing and that was great! If you want, I can post some pictures of that copybook, just to let you better understand what I'm talking about ;)
So, if you are interested in this "project" just leave a comment under this post. I'll email you and gather your addresses. I'll make a sort of travel plan in order to create the best way and shorten the distances between two stops.
I think that we should put a time limit for entering the project, like for exemple, the end of the year. Then if there aren't enough participants, we'll change it.
Soooo! Plaese, help me!!! Take part in this project :) And if you know other people who could be interested, invite them!
I'm so excited!

Pegman!
Hands up if you like the amazing new Google feature "Street Viewer" and its orange mascot Pegman!I find it GREAT! I waste so much time just hanging around in the streets of some faraway cities. And isn't it weird when you actually know the streets of a city you've visited and you "walk" with self-confidence as if you were actually there?
I sometimes love technology :)
Back to Postcrossing
Hurray!
I have to thank you people, because you made me feel like being into Postcrossing again. Actually I've always been into Postcrossing in the past 3 years but in this period, due to my pretty busy daily routine, I had left it behind. But since I'm trying to find a little more free time for myself, my thoughts and things I like (that's the reason why I've opened this blog as well), and thanks to your blogs about mail, stationery and stuff... I'm back to Postcrossing!!!
I've already got my first 6 addresses. Now I just need some postcards and stamps and the adventure will begin again!
- I was thinking maybe I should create something "Christmas related" on my own ? -
But 'till then... back to my school books :(

Getting ready for Christmas?
I am. It's time for me to start thinking about the presents, find some free time to decorate the house and the Christmas tree, buy some new stuff to replace the old or broken things.
I know. Like all the other holidays, Christmas is getting a commercial holiday, its religious or spiritual meaning getting lost. Bla bla bla. I'm not in the right mood for moralistic comments. I'm not saying I don't agree with that but I think that nowadays we sholud objectively admit that spirituality is loosing its importance while on the other hand in a period of crysis it's not that bad wheter people have a good reason to spend a bit of their money to be happy together, giving some relief to our economy.
Christmas is my favourite holiday of the year. It warms your heart while outside it's snowing. It gathers families, it's a moment of joy. It has got a own special atmosphere.
This is a strange period for me. My best relationships are growing at the University, while in my family they're getting a bit... boring, dull, trivial... almost detached. And I don't think this is the right way they should be.
I hope this Christmas will set matters straight.

American clichés again!
This is related to my previous post :)
"That Ain't My America"
LYNYRD SKYNYRD
From the Album - "God & Guns" (2009)
(Johnny Van Zant, Gary Rossington, Rickey Medlocke, Brett Warren)
Sometimes I wanna light up underneath the no-smoking sign
Sometimes I wish they'd tell me, how justice got so blind
I wish they'd just leave me alone 'cause I'm doing alright
You can take your change on down the road and leave me here with mine
'Cause that ain't my America
That aint this country's roots
You wanna slam old Uncle Sam
But I ain't letting you
I'm mad as hell and you know I still bleed Red, White, and Blue
That ain't us
That Ain't My America
I was standing there in Dallas
Waitin on a plane
I overheard an old man
Tell a young soldier "thanks"
The young soldier hung his head and said "it's hard to believe
You're the only one who took the time to say a word to me"
And the old man said...
That ain't my America
That aint this country's roots
You wanna slam old Uncle Sam
But I ain't letting you
I'm mad as hell and you know I still bleed Red, White, and Blue
That ain't us
That Ain't My America
It's to the women and men who in their hands hold a Bible and a gun
And they ain't afraid of nothing, when when they're holding either one
Now there's kids who can't pray in school
$100 dollar tanks of gas
I can tell you right now this country ain't
AIN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT!
NO!
'Cause that ain't my America
That aint this country's roots
You wanna slam old Uncle Sam
But I ain't letting you
I'm mad as hell and you know I still bleed Red, White, and Blue
That ain't us
That Ain't My
That Ain't My America
That Ain't My America

Born in the U.S.A.?
If I think about a country I'd like to live in, it's U.S.A. I just love the United States. I've been there twice so far during two amazing trips I will never forget.

I visited some of the most famous cities in the world, I crossed miles and miles of countryside, fields or desert, I went hiking in some magnificent natural parks. And the most odd thing is that the most part of people I met in the U.S.A., after asking me where I was from, just exclaimed: "wow! Italy?! You're so lucky! It's the most beautiful country all over the world!". That's not so true. Undoubtedly here in Italy we have good food, great landscapes, good quality of our products and so on. Of course there are lots and lots of problems and bad aspects too, but that's not what I want to discuss now.
Anyway, why am I so attracted to the U.S.A.? Well, first of all, I think we are very different in mentality and culture. What I love about the American way of life is that it permits you to dream. Everything seems possible over there. Lots of stories are told about normal or poor people who found their own way to the success. In the Unites States everything's so huge too! Cities and Nature look like they're endless. You always feel like you have a whole world of possibilities in front of you. There is place for everyone! Everything looks important, imposing. In every corner you can find something famous you had seen in a movie or on the news . The American way of life is what we are used to see on the TV. Everything is a symbol, an emblem. The Americans seem to be a united block of million and million people, who recognize themselves in a strong patriotism, love for their families and sense of duty, who can endure the loss of their sons who had joined the Army to serve their homeland, who can struggle against tornadoes and floods and always find a way out. They are so strongly united, even if their great grandparents came from all different countries.
The U.S.A. are the homeland of cowboys, country music and Tex Willer! And Coca Cola and almost everything we know. The Americans flew to the Moon!
...I could keep on writing for another couple of hours.
I know my thoughts about U.S.A. are full of clichés, but it doesn't matter. Everybody needs to dream, and I'm really looking forward to my next American trip. I can't help but thinking that the United States could be the right place for me.
American friends, please feel free to leave a comment and tell me about where you live and your lifestyle ;)
